Boiler is an enclosed pressure vessel in which water is heated by the thermal energy released by combustion of fuel and air is used to evaporate and generate steam at the desired temperature and pressure. The steam produced by boiler is used onboard ship for various processes like heating applications – Fuel oil heating, Oil tank heating, Cargo heating, Air Conditioning, Galley supply, generating power, running cargo pump turbine, steam driven deck machinery and Fire Fighting, etc.
